First Padres game
The Padres played their first game at Petco Park on April 8, 2004, and beat the San Francisco Giants, 4–3 in 10 innings. A week later, on April 15, Mark Loretta hit the first Padres home run there, off Hideo Nomo. Those two dates open the baseball milestones list.
