Colisee replaces a burned arena
The arena opened on December 8, 1949, with ground broken on May 24, 1949. It replaced a building on the same site that had burned the year before, and it originally seated 10,034. The Nordiques later made it their home from 1972 to 1995.

Location
- Stay near Colisée de Québec. Search hotels by the stadium area rather than a brand name.
- Transit-first base. If Quebec City has rail or subway, a station-area stay is often easier.
