Celine Dion opens the arena

Celine Dion played a sold-out show on October 1, 1999, the first event of any kind at the building, then called the Pepsi Center. The page says she dedicated the show to the Columbine community. The Nuggets and the Avalanche moved in as the main tenants that year.
